Lucy has been doing the funniest thing lately. She sticks her tongue out and smiles and then does it again when we laugh at her. It's like she knows we think it's funny. It's so cute but I hope it's not forming a bad habit. :) She does it all the time as you can see from the pics.

Josh's mom and dad surprised us a couple weeks ago with a new highchair for Lucy. Josh set it up today and I decided to let Lucy try it out.
"Hmm...how do I keep from falling over?"
"I'm not sure what to think about this... where is the food?"
"Thanks Mimi and Pawpaw!"
Last weekend some guys from church came over and helped us landscape the front of our house. It was such a blessing to get some assistance and expertise. I don't have a "before" picture but just imagine a big chunk of dirt sitting to the right of the porch. We started working on the landscaping when we bought the house almost three years ago but we didn't get very far. It was so nice to finally put some plants and shrubs in to increase the curb appeal.
Josh wanted to make sure everything got plenty of water.
The planters with the flowers in them were part of our wedding decorations. I've been saving them and am finally putting them to good use.
I think we are going to add a few more bushes in front of the house on this side but you get the general idea. :)

A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to get some pictures taken by our friend Lillian. I wanted to get some family shots before Lucy got too much older. I love the way they turned out. Thanks Lillian...you did an amazing job!
I like this picture because it captures one of Lucy's favorite things to do right now...putting her fists in her mouth. You should see her try to stuff both fists in at the same time. :)
My sister Alyssa came and so did my sister Rachel with her two boys, Noah and Weston.
Lucy was named after her "Great Nana"...Lucille Owen. She is 91 years old.
Alyssa stayed in the room with me and Lucy. She was a big help!
