4th of July Celebration

We spent Fourth of July weekend with my mom's family in Knoxville. On Saturday we all got together for dinner, fireworks, and swimming in the pool. Lucy was loving it. She was in the pool for over an hour and smiling the whole time. She had a blast! Check out her little legs kicking like crazy :)

Here's my cutie patootie in her Fourth of July outfit given to her by Aunt Lisa.

Mmmm...smoked chicken, hash brown casserole, squash casserole, broccoli salad, taco dip, homemade banana pudding, turtle pie, and coconut cake. It was delicious!

At the end of the night the guys treated us to a fireworks show. Josh and Mark handed out sparklers to all the kids. What a fun day!

Yummy Toes

Now that Lucy has found her toes she loves to put them in her mouth. It looks uncomfortable if you ask me.

Five Months Old!

Our little girl is 5 months old! This is such a fun age. Some of the things she has learned to do this month are rolling over from back to front, grabbing her toes, and making little short guttural coughing noises when she gets all worked up :) it's hard to describe but it's so cute when she does it.

I was trying to get her to stand because I wanted to get a good picture of this really cute outfit that Josh's mom got for her. ( warning...don't try this at home) haha

This is my attempt at some outdoor photography. The problem is she is so relaxed when she is outside that I couldn't get her to look at the camera.

I love it when she smiles with her pacifier in her mouth. It's so cute.

More attempts at outdoor pics...it's kind of hard when they can't sit up on their own. And the mosquitoes were swarming around us so I had to give up on this idea...lol

She is really enjoying the exersaucer at this age. She will play in it for 20 or 30 minutes sometimes. She can turn around in it and look at all the toys. She tries to get everything in her mouth.

The video below shows Lucy's skills at turning over. She normally does it much faster than this. Now that she has learned how to do it she automatically turns over every time I lay her on her back. It sure makes it hard to change her diaper.

Our Growing Girl

I thought I would post some pictures I took about a month ago when I thought Lucy was cutting some teeth. She went through a rather fussy period with lots of drooling so I figured it might be around that time. It's almost July and still no teeth. False alarm? Either way she really enjoyed chewing on this teether toy.

A couple weeks ago I started sitting Lucy in her bumbo seat with toys on the tray. She seems to enjoy it but after about 45 seconds all the toys are on the floor. :)

Saturday at the River

Last weekend we went up to the Little River in Townsend with my Aunt, Uncle, cousins and their families.

Lucy really loves being outside. She was so happy just lounging in the camp chair.

The water was really cold but that didn't keep Josh from dipping Lucy's feet in. I think she actually enjoyed it.
