Family Trip to the Zoo

Wow I've really had a hard time keeping the blog updated with everything that we have been doing lately. It's been such a busy summer so far. A couple of weeks ago Josh and I took Lucy to the zoo. It was so fun :)
Lucy looking cool in her shades :)
Checking out the bears

I think Lucy's favorite part of the zoo is feeding the camels
Walking over to get some camel food

She loves it!

so cute :)

Wee Play Zoo

The butterfly gardens

On the run...
Stopping to check out the animals with Mommy

Getting sleepy
...and grumpy
Yummy ice cream
Watching the elephants get a drink of water

Riding the carousel with Daddy
She wasn't too interested in the petting zoo this time
But she LOVED the play area with the slides
Going back up to the top all by herself

Such a big girl :)

She went down this slide like four times
Pooped out :)

Splash Pad

One Sunday evening back in May Josh and I took Lucy to the splash pad at Carl Cowen park. I was surprised how many people were there that late in the day. It was pretty crowded but we still had a lot of fun.
Ready to go :)
A little timid at first
Trying to decide where to start...

Running through the sprinklers with Daddy

Lucy loved sticking her hands in the water but she didn't like getting splashed in the face :)
Staying out of the way
Love this face...lol
Venturing back out...

Soaking wet

Josh thought it would be fun to let Lucy swim in the lake while we were there but there really wasn't a good spot for her to get in so he just let her kick her feet around in the water :)I love doing stuff as a family!

The Graduate

It's a little late but I wanted to say congratulations to my brother for graduating nursing school. Lucy and I went to his pinning ceremony back in May.
He graduated from Roane State Community College and is going to be working in CCU at Blount Memorial Hospital starting next week.
Getting "pinned"
Way to go Jason! We are so proud of you!

Fire Trucks

Lucy and I went with the Maryville Moms group on a field trip to the fire station a couple of weeks ago. I told Lucy that morning that we were going to see the firetrucks and she responded with "vroom vroom" :)
She loved standing on the firetruck...
She immediately wanted to get back on.
Giving the other kids a turn :)
Cousin Noah trying to help move her out of the way, lol
Sitting down for a short "fire safety" talk for the kids
A little distracted...
She wanted to get back on the truck...haha
The whole gang
They even gave us a tour of the fire station. :)

I have really enjoyed being a part of this Moms group. There is always something fun planned for the week...several things actually haha. Lucy and I are never bored, that's for sure :)
