Costume Party

The M.O.Ms group had a costume party the week of Halloween. I dressed Lucy up as a ladybug (very original I know) but you can't beat $2.50 for a costume at Once Upon a Child. Plus I think every baby girl has to dress up as some sort of bug, lol
Chowing down on the snacks :)
Playing with another ladybug haha

Lucy and her friend Julia (who was a pirate like her big brother)
I wasn't planning on dressing up but I decided at the last minute that I would go as a cowgirl.
The whole gang :)

How fun!

Little Ladybug

We took Lucy to East Maryville Baptist Church on Halloween to do some trunk or treating. I tried to get some pictures on the porch before we left but she was NOT in the mood to sit still, lol. Oh well...I thought this one turned out pretty cute :)
Family picture at the church
There were people sitting on hay bales handing out the candy
Lucy didn't really know what to do at first but it didn't take her long to get the hang of it :)
so serious, lol
putting the candy in her bag

on to the next one...
saying "thank-you" :)
There were games set up in the parking lot for the kids to play and then collect candy afterwards

She threw the ball several times at this one and didn't knock anything down...
so she decided to walk right up and set the ball on top of the funny
going for the candy

digging in :)
She loved putting candy in her bag. She ate a few pieces but she mostly enjoyed collecting it and carrying it around. And she did NOT want the bag out of her site. She didn't let go of it the whole night...haha
Bowling! :)
Eating some chocolate bunnies
Getting a drink
Trying to get some more candy on the way out :)
She was so funny the whole night...I think she had a great time! :)

Oakes Farm

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch! I wanted to take Lucy last year but we waited until it was too late. So this year I was really glad when it worked out for us to go a few weeks ago. We decided to go to Oakes Farm in Corryton. They have a pumpkin patch, several corn mazes and lots of fun stuff for the kids to do...
Lucy going down the big slide by herself...

Pretending to be a sheep :)
Getting ready to go on a hayride to the pumpkin patch :)

Watching the tractor drive away
So many pumpkins! :) Josh thought it was funny that they were all just laying out in the field, haha. I guess he's never been to the pumpkin patch before lol
Lucy didn't really know what to do at first...
So she decided to chew on some hay haha
Trying to pick one up...a little too heavy :)

"Hmm...maybe I'll just sit on it instead"
"Here's one Mommy!"

Daddy finally picked one out for all of us
Me and my girl :)
Going through the kiddie maze

Lucy loves corn so she decided to take a bite of this one. But it didn't taste very good...I guess we should have warned her :)
Headed home :) What a fun day!
